Painting Pumpkins

We had so much fun making our October Pumpkins! 🎃
We cut off the lids, and after I scored the inside, they used their spoons to scoop out all the flesh. It would have been easy to rush in to drawing our faces straight on the pumpkins but we wanted to come up with a bunch of ideas and choose the best from their bunch! So we used our printable of 6 pumpkin templates and had a good giggle at all the crazies!

Turn the PUMPKIN into the Gospel story!

Then we got the sharpies out and went to work!

There was a lot of waiting while I was cutting out the faces, but Mr Dash turned it into a game of stirring and squishing the bowl of pumpkin flesh!

Then came the paint. And it got a WHOLE lot messier!
Then we added glitter!

They are still wet but we can't wait to see them light up!

As we scooped, drew and painted we talked about what Jesus has done for us, making our fleshy gloop into a new creation and filling our hearts with bright shining light. For more verses or Bible bookmarks to make together, pick up your own Pumpkin Party pack at the Store
