Holy Week Devotion: Liz's Story
Easter Devotions Day 3: Jesus invites you
Based on The Last Supper; Matthew 26:17-30
Jesus was always inviting people. Inviting them to follow him, inviting them to eat with him, pray with him, listen to him. At The Last Supper Jesus invited his friends to remember him. Remember him with wine and bread, remember how he gave himself, his blood, his body, all because God was inviting those who believed to become his friends, back into his family. Question: “What is Jesus inviting you to do?”
Liz: “Hi I'm Liz from @hellolittleartisan. I'm a Jesus follower, wife, mother to 4 beautiful children, and the owner of an Art Studio for all things messy and creative.
It was such a privilege to be asked to answer one of Amy's Easter Week questions and have the time to reflect on Easter and what Jesus has been inviting me to do this year.
This was an easy question for me to answer as He has almost been shouting at me to pick up the Bible and read his word. Inviting me to read it a lot more.
Reading is something I hardly do anymore. I rarely sit down with a book, unless it's reading to the kids. I love to pray and will do it all throughout the day. I love going to church and singing and hearing God's word taught, but sitting and reading myself is a struggle. Ironically, my 10 year old daughter asked me to buy her a new Bible to replace her junior Bible, so the plan is to read it together. Isn't God good. What is Jesus inviting you to do?”
Liz is based in Sydney, she has her own Art Studio, follow her @hellolittleartisan for wonderful creations, art and crafty ideas.
