Paint Stamping with Eggs
Need a last minute Easter Craft?
Have you tried the painting technique of shaking eggs we featured in our Easter Round Up ?
It's super easy to set up and clean up.
We tried it the other day and it turned into a fun process; filling our eggs with paint, a little water and stamping the eggs on the paper.
We downloaded these egg templates from Pinterest - there are so many available!
Picked up some plastic eggs from a dollar store
Filled them with paint
Put the paper and eggs on a tray*
And shook shook shook, stamp stamp stamped and watched the paint burst out of the little holes
Eventually it became a finger painting process
I used washi tape to hold down the lace.
Started with stamping the eggs filled with paint, added some water to make it flow easier.
Finished with covering the lace using a paintbrush and neon orange and pink.
I added some glue after all the process to stick the lace in place, but you could remove the lace and see the imprint on the paper.
I personally love the finished look including the lace. The paint highlights the delicacy and intricacies of the fabric.
The deep blue and the bright orange/pinks, makes me think: From death to life.
Give it a go!
*in hindsight I should've used a cardboard box to avoid the paint spraying on the walls!
