Crown Playdoh Mats
In Kids Church, we read the story of the 3 wise men / kings, who had studied the stars and knew a King was born. They set about following their faith.
It was the weekend of the Royal Wedding, and we combined the celebration with this invitation to design their own Royal Crowns.
Teaching on royalty
Who were the wise men/3 kings? What might the world look like if the Kings of the world followed Jesus to worship him like the wise men did?
Which kings and queens in the Bible do you know? What were they like? What did they do?
Think of Esther and David. What about Joseph who was made a Prince in Egypt? Or little Joash who became King at age 7. Look them up together.
Talk about Jesus being King of Kings (Revelation 19:16) - what does it mean?
Jesus was called Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6) - When Jesus rules in our lives, when He enters a room, when He gives direction, He does so with peace.
Talk about if Jesus is Prince of Peace in your life, or if you're missing His peace.
Talk about if Jesus is the King of your life.
Being Princes and Princesses in God's Kingdom.
What would you do if you were King or Queen of a country?
Jesus has given you His inheritance, in every way. Romans 8:17
His Father is your father, that means we are princes and princess' in God's Kingdom.
How will you use your inheritance? How will you use your heavenly authority, your royal power?
Read Ephesians 1 - Highlight what it tells you about your inheritance and identity.
Print off, and laminate or place in a plastic sleeve to save, and go crazy with the dough.
Alternatively: Decorate crowns
Print off the crowns in grayscale and encourage your cubs to paint them.
Print off the crowns and get out the glue, feathers, sequins, and all your extra arts and crafts supplies.
